Gas Tightness Test & Purging
PHS Trades Team provides strength testing, tightness testing and direct purging of domestic and commercial natural gas installations. Our extensive range of gas services ensures your property is safe, compliant and meets industry regulations.

Tightness Testing
Gas Tightness testing ensures that gas pipework and installations are safe for use. The test is carried out in controlled conditions using calibrated equipment. Your engineer will monitor the water and electronic gauges for any pressure loss.
We advise that testing should be carried out annually alongside your Gas Safety Certificate. Often this is a requirement from your property insurance provider. Failing to do so may invalidate your policy.
Strength Testing
You will require a Strength Test for any new industrial and commercial gas pipework installations. Additionally, you will also need a strength test for extensions to existing commercial gas pipework installations.
Gas Leak Trace and Repair
Even if the tightness test is satisfactory, a smell of gas or the presence of gas detected will fail the test. In which case, we can provide tracing and repair services.
